The playwright Heiner M¿ller was born in East Germany in 1929. His large, complex body of work written since the early 1960s has made him one of Europe''s leading dramatists. This book contains an introduction to M¿ller''s work by Marc von Henning, and a selection of his poetry, short prose, essays and plays, including <i>The Hamletmachine </i>and <i>Quartet</i>.
