Traditionally, the Mac is longer and offers more weather protection, while the Car coat version is shorter, lighter, and looser in cut. SWIMS’ interpretation combines the best of both worlds: full weather protection in a slightly shorter and more relaxed silhouette, offering increased versatility. Stockholm Mac is ideal for urban use throughout most of the year, on rainy and windy days, with or without insulating layers underneath. The slightly looser and shorter cut, combined with visible seams, buttons, and carefully considered details, allows the coat to be easily dressed up or toned down. It works equally well worn over a suit or styled casually with a pair of modern sneakers. The garment is constructed with a 2-layer waterproof outer fabric and a separate inner lining. The laminated membrane offers excellent breathability, making the coat comfortable even when full rain protection is not required. All seams are taped, and the construction is 100% waterproof. The outer fabric is a fully matte and soft 1:1 plain-woven polyester with mechanical stretch, achieved entirely without the use of elastane. This gives the coat a natural drape and a refined appearance that clearly distinguishes it from traditional rainwear.
