SWIMS - Osaka Pile Jacket - Midnight Navy - Str: XS - Herre

The term Sherpa Jacket is more of a cultural association than a historically accurate reference to the Himalayas’ mountain people. While traditional Sherpas did wear real sheepskin—like the collar seen on the Furano jacket—the “Sherpa” label here refers to synthetic high-loft pile fleece. This material first appeared in the 1960s as lining in workwear and ranch wear, later becoming iconic through Americana aesthetics. Today, Sherpa fleece is a staple in outdoor functionality, with its retro references tracing back to the '90s—an era when pile fleece quality took a major leap forward. That was the age of outdoor expedition booms and when fleece became everyday gear for all, even spreading to college campus fashion. Now, it's hotter than ever in contemporary style. Osaka is an urban Sherpa fleece jacket of the highest standard. The Korean premium fabric is backed with microfiber moleskin—nearly windproof, yet highly breathable—unlike many high-profile alternatives that use internal membranes. The result is warm, soft insulation with maximum comfort, without that stuffy, trapped feel. The fleece is unbrushed, meaning fiber loss is minimal and remains undetectable in weight after 50 washes. It’s the perfect insulating midlayer in almost any situation, but thanks to the microfiber backing, this is also a great outer jacket in the transitional seasons—or on a chilly summer evening by the water. Asymmetrical design is a natural element in contemporary East Asian retro-sports fashion, making it feel right to give this product a global signature that stands out from simpler alternatives on the market. Rich in details, the jacket features an oversized collar, plenty of woven reinforcements in all key areas, front hand pockets, and a chest pocket. About the name Osaka is known as Japan’s most informal major city—down-to-earth, direct, and social, with a unique love for food, art, and sensory culture. The city is also a hotspot for streetwear and modern retro trends, making it the perfect backdrop for a stylish and cozy fleece jacket with attitude. • Korean premium poly fleece, high-loft pile • Microfiber moleskin backer for wind resistance and breathability • 450 g/m² incl. microfiber backing • Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified • Front/side-entry pockets and chest pocket • Woven and quilted reinforcements throughout
