SWIMS - Myoko Down Vest - Midnight Navy - Str: XXL - Herre

The first quilted down jacket was patented in 1936 – interestingly, with diagonal baffles, also known as “diamond quilting,” just like on the Myoko Down Vest. This design was considered to provide better down distribution and increased durability in active garments. That first jacket also featured a ribbed knit collar – just like this vest. The vest followed shortly after, seen as a practical offshoot of the jacket, with its own distinct functional purpose from the beginning. The goal was to retain core warmth around the vital organs without restricting arm and shoulder mobility, making it ideal for more active use in hunting, fishing, and cold-weather work. Its usefulness as a midlayer – worn over or under other garments – also contributed to its popularity. The down vest made its big breakthrough in urban pop culture during the 1980s. Myoko Down Vest is designed and developed with an uncompromising approach to quality. Premium technical level, urban style with clear references to its historical roots. The Korean outer fabric is a refined, lightweight, down-proof 20 Denier nylon of the highest grade. It’s laminated with a membrane on the reverse side – rather than the more common coating – with a total weight of just 40 grams per square meter. With an ultra-dense 230 threads per inch, the fabric has a smooth and tight structure that delivers a sophisticated dry surface. – notice the crisp sound when touched and the almost weightless feel when you put it on. For those with a trained eye: the matte finish on such a fine weave creates a uniquely exclusive play of light and shadows along seams and folds. In addition to the tactile luxury, the construction offers excellent breathability and effective moisture protection, while securely holding the down in place with minimal feather migration. The vest is filled with a blend of recycled goose and duck down, carefully filtered and sorted to meet our standards for sustainability and performance. The design features discreet SWIMS branding, a high level of detailing, and precision craftsmanship. This is not simple mass production.
