Peter Lindbergh – Dior is a magnificent tribute to one of fashion’s most influential photographers and his close relationship with the legendary House of Dior. Throughout his career, Lindbergh photographed some of Dior’s most iconic muses, including Marion Cotillard and Charlize Theron, and created celebrated campaigns for Lady Dior and J’Adore.In this unique project, 70 years of Dior fashion history meet the vibrant energy of Times Square in New York. For the shoot, Dior opened its archives and allowed an exceptional collection of priceless couture pieces to travel from Paris to Manhattan. In front of Lindbergh’s camera, models including Alek Wek, Saskia de Brauw, Karen Elson and Amber Valletta wear everything from Christian Dior’s legendary 1947 Bar Suit to contemporary creations by Maria Grazia Chiuri.The contrast between exquisite haute couture and the intensity of Times Square creates photographs filled with energy and presence. Through Lindbergh’s signature black-and-white imagery and striking color photography, the silhouettes, textures and intricate details of each garment come beautifully to life. The result is a remarkable visual volume that brings together fashion history, photography and New York in an extraordinary celebration of both Dior and Peter Lindbergh.
