<P><EM>Cosmos and Camus</EM> explores the intersection of science fiction film with Albert Camus¿ philosophy of the absurd. Analyses of the films <I>Contact</I>, <I>Arrival</I>, <I>A.I.</I> and <I>Her</I> show that imaginative collisions with nonhumans help to illuminate the nature of the absurd in the human condition.</P>
