In a similar way to the manner in which Neil McGregor wrote the successful, The History of the World in 100 Objects, the idea here is to spend time in Lent in our own homes, reflecting on the spiritual stories, significances, meanings and biblical allusions that can be gleaned from the household objects we all have at home. We spend a week in each room, linking each item to a biblical passage and a prayer. Running as a thread through it all are the 7 Rs of Lent: regret, repentance, resolution, recognition, reconciliation, renewal, and resurrection.
